Using both the Biogel Freeze Pack and the USB Lid simultaneously is the most powerful cooling method from the Explorer Insulin Cooler. It keeps your insulin and medicines cold for up to 3 days, even in the most challenging summer conditions.

1. Prepare the Biogel: For even distribution, shake the Biogel freeze pack up and down four or five times.

2. Then, simply place your Biogel freeze pack in the freezer for 6-8 hours before use. (there is no issue if you leave it in the freezer for more than 8 hours.)

3. Once you need to use it, submerge the freeze pack in luke-warm tap water for 120-180 seconds before placing it into the insulated cooling bottle. In the absence of luke-warm water, leave it outside for 15-20 minutes before use; however, the warm tap water method is more efficient throughout the year and at various seasonal temperatures.
